Kind Eggs!

DK Happenings

As owners of diaperkind, we’ve had the privilege of mingling with dozens of fun small businesses over the past 5 years. It’s one of my favorite parts of my job!

A few weeks ago we got an invite to join the folks over at Good Eggs for lunch. Their lunches are pretty special. Even the NY Times thinks so!

It was such fun for us. Not only did we get to taste some truly delicious local and farm-fresh foods, but we got to talk with them about their operations, which, are so incredibly similar to ours! It was cathartic to share in the joys and woes of being a delivery service within NYC while trying to always be eco-minded and make responsible decisions. Of all the businesses we have had the privilege of meeting with over the years, these guys truly got us.

Needless to say it was love at first site and we immediately decided that we needed to partner up. After all, not only do we share oodles of operating systems, but we share a whole bunch of customers too!

And so over a lunch of handmade “wiggly” pasta and sausage, “Kind Eggs” was born!  ; )

Some of the highlights are:

Good Eggs will be providing delicious food for all of our Classes, Events and Open Houses.

They will also be sending us weekly goody bags to send to our “newbies” (our code word for families receiving their first diaper delivery).

And will be guest posting on each others blogs from time to time.

If you don’t know about Good Eggs, be sure to check out their site! They are the perfect marriage of a CSA and Fresh Direct. You get to order exactly what you need/want. Local farm and purveyors provide the goods. And Good Eggs packs it up and brings it to you. They provide free home delivery 7 days a week. Easy peasy lemon squeezy (as my 5 year old says).
